Female MPs Getting Ready for Elections with The Support Of OTI

On the 5ht & 6th of July, One Text Initiative of Sri Lanka, with the support of DEMO Finland- held a series of training (two-day residential training) on Capacity Development and Election Preparation for Tamil Speaking Pradeshiya Saba members. Women leaders from Mannar, Batticaloa, Badulla, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, and Kalutara attended. This training is a series of training conducted by the OTI- and the latest focused on Gender Budgeting and the Use of Social Media to engage with the electorate, protection in cyberspace, and various mechanisms available to create more space for women in politics. Furthermore, a greater portion of the training time was spent improving the public speaking skills of the participants.

Mangala Shankar, Anoma Rajakaruna, Mr. Krishnasamy Harendran, and Mr. Croos attended this residential training as resource persons.
