Sri Lanka has confirmed 975 Coronavirus cases, the highest daily total so far, while five persons died from Covid-19 on February 09, the state information office said.

Sri Lanka has so far confirmed 71,211 persons with Coronavirus and 5,788 were under treatment. About 65,053 had recovered.

Sri Lanka reported 05 Coronavirus deaths including a 45 year old female dying in Theldeniya Hospital on February 08. She had Covid-19 pneumonia, bronchitis and high blood pressure.

An 81-year old male had died while being treated at the Kothelawala Defence Hospital on February 09. He had developed Sepsis and had a kidney condition.
