“The Independent State Commissions in Sri Lanka are an institutional mechanism that plays an important role in the process of democratic and people-friendly governance. The potential of State Commissions is well recognized in our country and this book is based on a study that balances Sri Lanka's contemporary experience with these commissions and will further enhance the current public debate in Sri Lanka on independent commissions. It's a work in progress for government officials, students and citizens alike. "

"Democracy succeeds by establishing the rule of law by establishing a rule in which both the rulers and the people are governed by the law, and this can only be achieved by strengthening the process of enforcing the provisions of the law. If there is another place that needs to be done, it is the institution created by the Constitution, and if they are not functioning properly, we need to formalize and strengthen them in a way that enables them to function properly and to make the public aware of them. I consider it an important step that the history of the state commissions, the legal framework, their powers,It should be noted that this book, which includes their structural weaknesses, etc., will be useful for the knowledge and understanding of our citizens.
