Dialogue on the Model Constitution Process in Jaffna

As part of its continuing engagement on the Model Constitution-making process, the One-Text Initiative held a meeting in Jaffna on 18 July 2026 with representatives of the Democratic Tamil National Alliance and its constituent parties.

The discussion was attended by Suresh Premachandran, C. Venthan, Guruswamy Surendran, Dharmalingam Siddharthan, Murugesu Chandrakumar and N. Ratnalingam.

The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce and discuss the Model Constitution initiative and its broader consultative process. It was a constructive and cordial exchange that contributed to OneText’s continuing engagement with political stakeholders from across Sri Lanka.
