Sri Lanka rupee was quoted around 195.00/198.00 levels in the one-week forwards market on Wednesday, while bond yields edged up on selling pressure, dealers said.
The rupee last closed in a one-week forward market at 196.00/198.00 levels on Wednesday.
The rupee closed wide 194.00/198.00 to the US dollar in the spot market on Wednesday.
In the secondary market bond yields gained on selling pressure but the market remained inactive, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.55/65 per cent on Thursday, up from 5.50/60 per cent at Wednesday close.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 was quoted at 5.90/6.00 per cent on Thursday, down from 5.92/6.00 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 was quoted at 6.56/60 per cent on Thursday, up from 6.54/60 per cent at Wednesday’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.80/90 per cent, up from 6.75/95 per cent a day earlier.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted 7.25/35 per cent, up from 7.15/35 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 8.00/10 per cent on Thursday.
